Your vote matters!
In the town's history, only two voter-approved bonds have funded construction of Town of Payson projects: Green Valley Park and Lakes in 1992 and a the $1.5 million fire station on Tyler Parkway in 2009. The Green Valley $3 million bond, adjusted for inflation, would amount to almost $7 million in 2025 dollars. Taylor pool, open just three months a year, also priced around $3 million in 1984, would cost more than $9 million in today's dollars. The $16 million bond as proposed will provide Payson with
- an enclosed, year-round facility;
- a 6-lane lap pool;
- a current channel/lazy river good for resistance/assistive therapy;
- a zero depth entry play/fitness pool
- a building entryway, ticket booth, restrooms/locker rooms, and lifeguard station;
- a bus lane and parking area
If the bond passes, it is scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2027.
